Hirakud Project On river Mahanadi in Orissa. It is World’s longest dam 4801m
Rihand Project On river Son in Mirzapur. Its reservoir is Govind Vallabh Pant reservoir.
Kosi Project On river Kosi in Bihar.
Mayurkashi Project On river Mayrukashi in West Bengal.
Kakrapara Project On river Tapi in Gujarat.
Nagarjuna Sagar Project On river Krishna in between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. It is world’s largest masonry dam.
Tungabhadra Project On river Tungabhadra(tributary of Krishana) in Karnataka.
Shivasamudram Project On river Kaveri in Karnataka.It’s the oldest river valley project of India.

    Goggle shows that the Tehri dam is highest Dam in India…and you are saying Bhakra Nangal…which one is right ?

      Tehri Dam – Height 260 m (855 ft) | Reservoir Capacity: 2,100,000 acre·ft
      Bhakra Nangal Dam – Height 226 m (741 ft) | Reservoir Capacity: 7,501,775 acre·ft
      As you can see from figures above, Tehri is tallest while Bhakra clearly has more capacity than Tehri, so it is considered one of the largest dam.
