“Concentration is the root of all the higher abilities in man.”

Concentration is the ability to focus the attention on one single thought or subject, excluding everything else from the field of awareness. On every level of mental activity, it is concentration that is the key to success.

A trained mind is able to focus, without being distracted by thoughts, noises or anything else.

The following ways to improve your concentration may help you achieve success:

Sufficient sleep:
A tired body cannot focus and work. A mind without adequate rest cannot be calm, is always distracted. Sleep for 7 – 8 hours a day.

Right place:
It is important to choose the correct place to concentrate. Your private study room is the best place to achieve better concentration.

Avoid continuous sensory input:
Avoid multi-tasking if you really want to concentrate on your studies. Keep off all the electronic gadgets.

Meditate:
Meditation is the most powerful tool to improve concentration. Practice meditation for at least ten minutes every day.

Yoga:
Yoga works like magic when it comes to increasing your concentration levels. Do Surya Namaskar and Sarvangasana daily.

Exercises:
Needless to say, you should have a nutritious and balanced diet if you want to be healthy. Eat veggies and fruits. Avoid junk food.

Take breaks:
Continuous sitting in the same place can mar your ability to focus. Take short breaks in between your studies.

Practice:
